Mission & Purpose
Originally founded by his father Dr. David Harrison in 1987, DR Harrison became President of Voice of Hope Ministries in 2016.
The Mission is clear. Evangelist DR Harrison strives to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ, around the world, to this lost and dying generation.
The Message is clear…THERE IS HOPE! That HOPE is found in our Lord Jesus Christ. This generation is looking for something real, something that will fill that void on the inside…only JESUS can do that!
Voice of Hope Ministries operates through Emmaus of Kingsport. A local church in Kingsport, TN. Pastor DR and his leadership team are dedicated to accountability and transparency in everything they do. The Bible says, “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” – Prov 11:14 Voice of Hope’s ministry leadership team is comprised of men who have similar pasts like Pastor DR, have compassion for sinners, and share the same vision and burden as Pastor DR.
Answering The Call
DR was called to preach just 4 days after being saved. Immediately after announcing his call to preach, God began to open up doors for DR to share the good news of the Gospel. Within just a couple of weeks, God allowed him to preach a revival that went into extended weeks seeing dozens of people come to know Christ as their Savior.
In these past 5 1/2 years, DR has preached to millions of people around the world and has seen nearly 118,000 people trust Christ as their personal Savior! This is the vision and driving force behind Voice of Hope; to see people come to know Christ through the power of the Gospel.
DR is a modern-day example of how quickly God can change someone’s life. He can take a life that is broken, ruined by sin, and bound for hell, and in a moment, change their life forever!
