“Blessed [is] the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” – Jeremiah 17:7

Jeremiah 17:7
One of the greatest hymns of all time was written, in 1834, by Edward Mote. It goes like this:
1 My hope is built on nothing less
than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
but wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
On Christ, the solid rock, I stand;
all other ground is sinking sand,
all other ground is sinking sand.
2 When darkness veils his lovely face,
I rest on his unchanging grace;
in ev’ry high and stormy gale,
my anchor holds within the veil.
3 His oath, his covenant, his blood
support me in the whelming flood;
when all around my soul gives way,
he then is all my hope and stay.
4 When he shall come with trumpet sound, O may I then in him be found,
dressed in his righteousness alone,
faultless to stand before the throne.
In the perilous and uncertain times, we are living in, I’m thankful that I can rest in the hope I have in the Lord Jesus Christ! There’s no need to worry, and no need to fear because I know my Lord is very near. He is my rock, my fortress, my strength, my guide, and my comfort. I’m thankful today for the peace that passeth ALL understanding! Rest in HIM today!
